What is it?
A wheelchair accessible minibus taking people from their homes
for shopping and other trips.
How is it provided? By a minibus.
The driver will help people on and off the bus and help with shopping.
Volunteers are also available request to accompany you and help with
wheelchairs. We also have our own (manual) wheelchair which can
be loaded onto the bus for your use at the destination - if you need
it, please reserve it when you make your booking.
The service is provided by HCT with the support of the Big Lottery
& Devon CC.
Who can use it? Those who have no access to transport of their own, and difficulty accessing public transport. This applies both to households completely lacking access to transport and in other cases as well - e.g. in a young family where there is only one car and one parent goes out to work, the other parent and child/ren would be eligible.
Where? From your home to local towns, for shopping or appointments.
Other trips during holidays.
When? According to a published schedule.
There is one trip each weekday from two or three Zones
in our area to a town - a different destination each day.
How much? Varies with destination:
£3.00 upwards.
